The Planning Board consists of nine members and up to two alternates.  The board's responsibilities include preparing the city's Master Plan, reviewing land subdivisions, site & concept plans, and granting type "c" variances.  A complete listing of the Planning Board's powers & duties may be found in the City Code Chapter 370, Article XI, § 370-91.

Planning Board meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of each month (@6:30pm) unless affected by holidays or lack of business.  Please check the Home page Meetings Calendar for actual meeting dates.

The Zoning Board consists of seven members and up to two alternates.  The board's responsibilities include adjudicating applications for land use variances (bulk & use), interpretations of zoning ordinances, and appeals to a Zoning Officer decision.  A complete listing of the Zoning Board's powers & duties may be found in the City Code Chapter 370, Article XI, § 370-89.

Zoning Board meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month (@7:00pm) unless affected by holidays or lack of business.  Please check the Home page Meetings Calendar for actual meeting dates.  The Zoning Board is also known as the Zoning Board of Adjustment.

Applications for issues to be presented to the Planning & Zoning Boards are available from the Planning & Zoning Board Secretary, (Bridgeton Tourist Center, 50 E. Broad St, corner of Rtes 49 & 77).

The following forms are available online: Variance ProcedureDevelopment Application, Site Plan Checklist, Subdivision Application Checklist NOTE: All application and escrow fees must be paid when an application is submitted.  No application will be accepted without posting the necessary fees. Please contact the Board Secretary to determine the appropriate application fee.
